This year's F.E.A.S.T. program was produced with support from the Funhouse Commons. If you've visited the Funhouse's outdoor play area, you may have noticed a unique bench constructed from natural materials. This structure was a hands-on learning project of the original 2009 cohort of the F.E.A.S.T. program. It is made of cobb, a mixture of clay, sand, soil, and hay.
As these natural materials have aged from hours of playtime, rebuilding was required by a new generation of students. Come check it out!

Many hands make light work!

Our amazing team of young adults, educators and volunteers are making a difference in their community and spreading their experiences and knowledge to kids of other nations as well. Think you or your student would like to know more?

The newly formed F.E.A.S.T. Program on Orcas Island, WA was born from a previous similar summer program offered in the Orcas Island Public High School just for High schoolers. When that program was completed, the current program was born as a program through Helping Hands Noramise and it offers workshops and activities all year long.

Our members seek opportunities to learn in our community and, in turn, provide help wherever needed. They will help you glean fruits and veggies, build garden beds or herb boxes, help prepare food items, learn water and farm techniques - whatever helps them understand the workings of healthy food systems and practices.
